I found it at an antique store in Minden, but not without searching through 100 or so back issues separated in separate piles throughout the store. The back of the magazine had fallen off, but it was still with the magazine and only torn at the seam, so I fixed it tonight with book binder's glue.

I'm never selling it, I'm going to read it and then frame it, ohemgee.

Feast on it!!

So, I've had a really hard evening.

But first, some back story:
When I was in the dorms last year, I lived next door to a girl who I happened to see a lot in the bathrooms. Eventually, when our pee schedules were matching unusually well, we got to talking. She was really cool, and nice, and funny. We decided to get an apartment together. The week before, I spent a weekend with her. She would belittle her parents in front of me, disagree with the tiniest things I said, in a voice that made it sound like I was stupid, talk about her friends that I just met behind their backs. I figured she was still stressed because she's sick all the time and what not. It happens to the best of us.

And then we moved in, and things seemed ok. She was still sick a lot, but was doing better in school than the year before, and so I thought things would lighten up.

Good God, was I wrong. But before all that, 2 weeks after moving in, she decides she's "a city girl" and can't take being in Ruston anymore, and that she's going back to Baton Rouge, and its nothing I did or anything, but she just misses everyone. But then it got bad.

All of a sudden, she was writing notes about things I did or didn't do, complain about how I do this, argue with me about that, complain about my cooking, tell me that it smelled disgusting, or nauseating, and would tell me to turn on the vent and open the patio door, (She's vegan, and all the times I ate with her at restaurants she never complained, nor did she complain about the smell of the pizza she let her friend cook at the apartment) One time I was making potato soup, and she opened the door, wtf. Basically, I got to the point where I felt bad for cooking anything remotely smelly, like sausage biscuits.

But through all this, I thought that maybe she just had a weak stomach and constitution and that's not her fault. Anyway, she was still fun to hang around...if she ever talked to me. It seemed as soon as we were roomates she was determined to ignore me, and only when her friends were over was she anything like what I was used to: funny, energetic, etc. But then I noticed how if I tried to jump in, or if anyone did for that matter, she had to dominate the conversation, usually by belittling anything we said. She had to have the last word, and every friend of hers I met simply let her. She had her friend watch the ferrets for her in Ruston when she went back to Baton Rouge for the weekends, something that irked me because she never knocked, but would simply burst through the front door.

So, a day or two ago, I move in some stuff into the apartments because I figure she's moved out, gone. Nope. Her shit is still there, even though she said she was moving out at the end of the quarter. So to make room for my stuff, I move two chairs into her room and close the door. Big deal. We move her awful excuse for a couch (the most uncomfortable thing ever) and put mine in place.

That night, I hear a meow out side my door. I'm all alone. I'm freaked out. I open the door, and this cat forces its way inside. So I take pity on it and let it in for a night. I locked it in my bathroom while I went to the store to get some food and litter, and all the time its out in the front of the apartment I am with it. I never leave it alone, and I make sure it doesnt scratch anything. Duurrr. I take a picture of it the next day for Facebook, and it happens to be sitting on her couch.

So tonight, her friend and BOYFRIEND bursts through the door, asking for my roomate's mail. She has none, and so her friend says she has to check something in her room. She leaves a few minutes later, and acts peeved. I know what's going down, because later my roomate calls saying how she didn't appreciate me going in her room and that I should have called. We considered that, but I didn't think it would be a big deal. It's two of her chairs that I moved in so they wouldn't be banged up. I tell her that, basically, and that I didn't know when she was moving out because she didn't tell me and so I brought my stuff over and needed space so I moved the chairs. She says there's no point in trying to talk to me and hangs up. I call mom because I am peeved, and she calls AGAIN, this time complaining about the picture of the cat on facebook on her couch, and that if she sees a scratch she's holding me responsible for the damages. The conversation follows:

Me: There arent scratches, I was with the cat the whole time. And on that note, I'd appreciate it if your friend didn't barge in here without knocking.
Her: That's not MY problem.
Me: Actually, it is, since she's doing a favor for you.
Her: You know what? You're SUCH a Democrat!! You blame everything on everyone!(oooh, scary. I'm not joking)
Me: I am NOT a Democrat.
Her: Are you a COMMUNIST, THEN? You know, I hope your next roomate blah blah blah--

And that's when I hung up. And took her off facebook. Her and her little friend. I'm not dealing with this right before I start my new job and classes.

So I'm out of Virginny now...and in Missouri. Yes, I planned trips back to back. Why? I don't know, I think I like to punish myself. Trips are fun but they take a lot out of you.

So the second half of my week with Dani and Jess was still ok, but it was very different from the first part in that I got STAPH. AGAIN. On my face. It sucks, and it hurt a lot and produced a lot of side effects. Woooo. I am a loser for staph. I got some antibiotics and ointment and a second armada of meds for the next time I get this, because there will be a next time. It's trying to be my friend. But its getting better after I finally got it to drain (eeeeew) I'm glad I did the night before my flight, because I'm not sure what would happen in a pressurized air cabin (double eeeeeeeeeew).

So today we drove all the way to Branson and went to a Dinosaur museum because the owner had tickets for a WWII museum reserved for us. But we went into the Dinosaur museum too which was really interesting. There was a lifesize Raptor model with his mouth wide open. What was really realistic about it was that a spider had spun a thread of silk from one tooth to the other but it looked more like spit ^_^ hahaha. The sure scale of these models is amazing. Pictures should follow soon!

Tomorrow we shall do some stuff. (ooh how descriptive) But TUESDAY NIGHT we shall see a Beatles impersonation--VIP seats BITCH. OH YES. Be jealous. From the pictures they look pretty close too. But what's more important is the sound. I shall be judging. (evil snicker)

I love vacationating!

Sooooooo I should probably give a play by play of my goings on up north:

Last Saturday I got up around 6 in the morning to help mom put up posters for our garage sale. Its amazing how rude people are when they're visiting someone else's property, because lots of people snorted at our prices because they weren't less than a dollar and then stalked off or ate the doughnuts that were supposed to be for me, mom and Angie.

I wasn't really sad to have to leave at 12 so dad could take me to Alexandria so I could catch my flight.

The flight ended up being an hour late and even then it wasnt sure if we'd be able to board when it finally made it to the gate. So they gave me a voucher for a discounted hotel and another flight for once I got in Atlanta, but as soon as I got the voucher the plane's crew said we could board and so I didn't have to resort to staying in a room. Yay ^^ On the plane, there was a four-year-old behind me, and she wasnt scared of flying or crying or anything, but she was toothachingly sweet. so much so that she was annoying. She would ask all sorts of intelligent questions and say, "Wooooooooooow we're Sooooooooooo high! I don't know what to saaaaaaay!!!" I guess I'm jealous because I dont think I was that eloquent at that age.

Then when we got to Atlanta I deboarded in the same area I was supposed to get to to get on my next flight. But at every gate I went to, it was only a small matter of time before they changed the plane to some other gate. I didn't know whether or not to go eat incase we'd board soon, but then they said that the plane would be 40 minutes late because of maintenance, so I got juice and a sandwich and chips.

At the gate, there were other people waiting for another flight. Then on the intercom someone said that thier flight gate will be a letter over. Everyone laughed and clapped sarcastically and some booed. If anything, flying around in small planes and having to face crazy delays unites more people in a faster amount of time than anything else I've seen. It's also neat to think about the people flying with you. They could have come from anywhere else in the world and they chose or was given the same flight as you. Like a horoscope, could the people who choose these flights with you say something about you? Just a thought. It's a weird and small twist of fate.

Then I got on the plane and made it to Dulles, where Jess and David were already waiting for me. It was pretty late, but we went to David's and played some Mario DDR and then left and went to her house to sleep.

The next day, I woke up pretty late after Jess, took a shower, and we went to the mall so Jess could get something for her Dad for Father's day. She got a lot of random stuff at Target, which was attached to the mall ^^;;; She got him:

a ceramic red piggy bank
a hair catcher for a drain
some car shop wipes
duct tape, work gloves
and other things I can't remember ^_-;;

And then we met Reba, Jess's friend who is totally awesome and funny. We went to a BIGGER mall, and I got a totally awesome jacket from H&M on clearance! yaaaaaay! I should take a picture of it. I love it. I can't wait for winter.
Then around evening time Reba went home and we made it to Woodbridge to get Dani, but her train was late and stuck in the heart of Washington. One of the cars was being wonky. While we waited, we listened to some old favourite music and reminisced. We found out that we had the same song on our phones, it was cute. Then Dani arrived, (finally!) and she has blue hair now. Woooot! we'll, blue bangs anyway.

The next day we woke up early to drive to David's house so he could get some stuff for his apartment, then we went to his apartment and watched some hentai >_>;; which was hilarious. Really crazy. Like 30 foot schlong crazy. I'm not kidding. If you want a big laugh, then watch it.

Then, we left because David had to go to class, so we got sodas and snacks and went to a movie. We saw Kung Fu Panda, which I had already seen before but its sooo funny and cute and beautiful so I saw it again ^^. It was raining a lot around that time too. We went back to David's after that to hang out again, and while waiting for Reba to show up we played poker. But Reba couldn't make it, so we went to the basement to watch "The 10 Kingdoms" which is really long but really cute, we had to stop it and go home midway. On the way to Jess's house, which is out in the country, a deer started going across the road and Jess didn't swerve but tried to drive around her. The deer kept going and hit us on the passenger side. It was really scary. We checked the car, and there's nothing. She may have been stunned, I hope...

And now, We were going to go to the beach today, but its really cold down there in Virginia Beach, so we're just lazing around and watching anime. That's cool. I hope we try to go again though.
